French manufacture

For more than 50 years, Focus has made the choice to keep its production 100% French. This strategic decision was made from the outset by Dominique Imbert, artist and founder of Focus, and is today perpetuated by the current management team. This exacting commitment reflects the company’s priority on quality, innovation and exceptional craftsmanship.

Fireplaces produced in Provence

Initially, Dominique Imbert made every fireplace himself, but with their growing popularity in the 1970s, he decided to call on the services of a metalworks in Cavaillon in the south of France. This choice of local production became a cornerstone for Focus as it developed.

Following the shock of the oil crises, the metalworks found itself in difficulty and was bought by Focus in 1993, saving a dozen technician jobs and enabling the company to ensure its production capacity. Renamed Théus Industries, it became a production site entirely dedicated to making Focus fireplaces.

Recognised for exceptional savoir-faire

"Exactly 30 years later, in 2023, Théus Industries, now with around 100 employees, was awarded the French label of a ‘Living Heritage’ company (Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant: EPV).

Awarded by the French government, this label recognises excellence in traditional savoir-faire and innovation. For its more than 30 years of crafting Focus fireplaces, the metalworks thus joins the 1,050 companies in France with this prestigious label. "

Promoting French expertise

In 2025, Théus Industries joined the new EPV Excellence Contract platform, dedicated to the hospitality sector (restaurants, hotels, etc.) and heritage restoration. The metalworks continues to demonstrate Focus’s commitment to proving and promoting the excellence of French production through exceptional projects in France and internationally.
